Prize rules

Nominations will be accepted for the following categories
Best Painting
Best Sculpture
Best Installation
Best Photograph
Best First Time Solo Exhibitor
Best Curated Exhibition
Nominations accepted until March 15, 2024
Qualification and nomination
Artist of any nationality working in Lebanon. The nominated work must have been completed in 2023 and exhibited in Lebanon or digitally on a Lebanon-centric platform
Nominations are accepted from artists, galleries, art venues, museums, members of the public. Final winners must be notified and the artists must accept before announcement. Should the artist decline, the jury will decide to name another winner if the average grade of the runner-up is close enough, or declare no winner for that category

Process
An announcement will be made calling for nominations
Nominations received will be kept confidential from the public
Only names of eventual winners will be announced
As nominations are received, the jury will accept or reject nominated work from further consideration (Thumbs up or down). Any nominated work receiving a thumb down by two or more members of the jury will be disqualified from further assessment.

Message
Overall artistic value
Jury members will assess nominations reflecting a comprehensive evaluation. No grading of sub-criteria will be made or published. If no nomination is deemed by the jury to be worthy of being awarded, there will be no winner for that category.
One winner per category. No runner ups or second position.
Rewards / Prizes
There will be no cash rewards at this time due to the lack of sponsors. This can change if/when the economic situation improves or positive identification of a donor or sponsor.
In lieu of a financial reward, intangible benefits will be awarded:
Prime Coverage in Gallery magazine and its digital sites
Prize Certificate
Award ceremony
