An exploration of the dynamic interplay between music and visual art delves into how music evokes emotions and stimulates our senses. In sensation, sound transforms into color and vice versa. Within the depicted portraits are familiar faces, conveying emotions ranging from melancholy to joy and anger.
Three sections unfold across five frames aligned with the musical scale. The first segment, showcases square images adorned with diverse expressions, each rendered in monochromatic hues. As the musical accompaniment commences, these images undergo a metamorphosis, pulsating with movement and infusing with vibrant colors, signaling the fusion of music and visual artistry. The size of the image cubes diminishes progressively as they descend, reverting to their original black-and-white state upon exiting their designated frames, transitioning into an abstract realm.
These images are then juxtaposed within two frames, where they undergo abstraction, converging into a palette of black and gray. Subsequently, they transition to the central music frame compromising five distinct parts. Here, the images evolve in size, changing from diminutive forms to expansive composition in a gradual crescendo. This evolution mirrors a shift in color – vibrant hues gradually recede into monochrome, symbolizing their presence within the visual and musical framework.
The compositions of Alexander Scriabin, a musician known for his synthetic experiences, resonate throughout the space. Through the synergy of sight and sound, music is perceived as color and emotions as auditory sensations, transcending traditional boundaries of perception.
