Large-scale works charting uprisings in Iraq and Lebanon alongside wider conflicts in the region form the core of this presentation. At the center is a full-sized resin figure stands with outstretched arms above twelve white ceramic birds. Three metallic roses sculpted in silver and gold form part of the October Rose cycle, joined by Victims’ Rose, a long-running series. Two opposed figures rendered in a largely monochrome palette marked by red accents. Two canvases turn the city of Baghdad into maps. Together these projects outline the dismantling of cities through conflict while also recording their structures in new visual form. |
